Patricia Ann Bush, daughter of Laverne Bush and Elizabeth Unknown, was born on 16 September 1947 in Marked Tree, AR. She died of cancer on 20 September 2013 at the age of 66 in Santa Fe, Galveston, TX.

- Mrs. Patricia Bush Skillman passed from this life Friday evening, September 20, 2013, in Santa Fe.
Born September 16, 1947 in Marked Tree, Arkansas, Patricia had been a long time resident of Galveston County, having spent the past 40 plus years in Santa Fe. She was the secretary to Drs. Eugene Ammons and Carl J. Fuchs in Texas City for many years, before retiring to become a stay at home wife and grandmother. She was of the Christian faith and was a faithful member and active volunteer for over 10 years with Baypoint Community Church in Texas City until her diagnosis with cancer.  Mrs. Skillman was always present at her grandchildren’s scholastic and sporting events where she could be seen cheering them on.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Weaver Morse and her father, Laverne Bush.
Survivors include her loving husband of over 37 years, Al Skillman; mother, Elizabeth Bush; stepson, Richard Alton Skillman and wife, Debi; grandchildren, Kortney Leigh Haddix and husband, Robert, Jacob Lee Morse, Colby Lee Morse, Tristan Lee Morse, Britni Nicole Skillman, Skyler Brooke Skillman, Christopher James Skillman, Jon Michael Osteen; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Lee Haddix, Kimber Lee Haddix; sister, Sandra Kay Halstead and husband, John; nephews, Jeff and Eddie Cornelius; niece, Pam Grigg; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Clint Shuttlesworth officiating.  Interment will follow at Alta Loma Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Halstead, Colby Morse, Jacob Morse, Lee Morse, Tristan Morse and Steven Skillman.  Honorary bearers will be Jaxon Lee Haddix and C. J. Skillman.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
