7814. Robert J. Skillman was born on 6 May 1953 in Brooklyn, Kings, NY. He died of cancer on 8 July 2011 at the age of 58 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Robert J. Skillman NEW PALTZ- Robert J. Skillman, age 58, of New Paltz died Friday, July 8, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Robert was born May 6, 1953 in Brooklyn, the son of the late Andrew and Mildred Clara (Manti) Skillman. He married Mariann C. Kreuscher, June 23, 2001 in St. Joseph Church, New Paltz.

Robert was a member of St. Joseph's Church, New Paltz, he had a very strong faith. He was employed by Freihofer, New Paltz.

He is survived by his wife, Mariann C. (Kreuscher) Skillman at home; his mother, Mildred Clara (Manti) Skillman; sons, Kristopher Pisano of Webster, Mass., Shawn and Kariann Pisano of Port Ewen, Trever Pisano of Hudson; grandchildren, Madelynne, Leilana, and Aria Pisano; sister and brother-in-Law, Joan and Michael Hans of Saugerties; brothers, John and Karen Skillman of Gardiner, Richard and Debbie Skillman of Manassas, Va., Mark and Melissa Skillman of Stone Ridge; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a beloved older brother, Michael Skillman.

Calling hours will be Monday, July 11, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 34 South Chestnut Street, New Paltz with Fr. Bernard M. Maloney officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Gardiner.
