Jack John Skillman and Elnora E. Neal were married on 31 December 1948. Elnora E. Neal, daughter of J. Elmer Neal and Gertrude Walters, was born on 5 October 1926 in Charleston, IL. She died on 11 August 2011 at the age of 84 in Gas City, IN. Elnora E. Skillman (October 5, 2011 - August 11, 2011) Gas city - Elnora E. Skillman, 84 died at 11:48 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011, in her residence. She was born in Charleston, Illinois on October 5, 1926 to the late Elmer and Gertrude Neal. She married Jack Skillman on December 31, 1948 and he preceded in death in 1992. Elnora was a homemaker and had previously worked in the tax assessor's office in Mount Carmel, Illinois. After retirement, Elnora enjoyed fishing and golfing trips to Florida with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed the last few months with family, friends, grandchildren, and great-grandson, Myles Planck. Elnora also enjoyed shopping trips with her daughters, and loved the outdoors. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to New Hope Hospice for their care and compassion.

Survivors include her daughters, Lail (Jim) Planck, Gas City and Jana (Michael) Planck, Gas City; grandchildren, Cory Wright, Nicholas (Kelli Runyon) Planck, Justin (Leah) Planck, Mike Planck, Corri Planck, and Jamie Planck; and great grandson Myles Planck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Gertrude Neal; and her husband, Jack Skillman. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Services, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana with Reverend Mick Simpkins officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 800 E. South 'C' Street, Gas City, Indiana 46933 or to New Hope Hospice, 1385 North Baldwin Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46952. She was buried on 21 August 2011 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Services, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street in Gas City, IN.
