Clark E. Lyon, 90, formerly of Emporium, PA, passed away on May 28, 2011 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center.

Born June 17, 1920 in Emporium, PA, he was the son of the late Russell Paul and Susie Daetta (Skillman) Lyon. On August 24, 1942 in Fort Jackson, SC, he married Dorothy Irene Rudolph who passed away in November 2004.

Clark was a graduate of Emporium High School. He enlisted in the US Army and served as a staff sergeant in the 652nd Tank Destroyer Division from 1942-1946 receiving the American Theater ribbon, good conduct medal and Victory medal during WWII.

In February 1981 he retired from Sylvania, GTE where he worked as an electrical technician and supervisor. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Clark was a member of the Emporium United Methodist Church serving as a Sunday School teacher, lay leader, delegate to the annual conference and trustee for many years. He was a member of Emporium Masonic Lodge #382 F&AM serving as Worshipful Master in 1990. He was also a member of the Coudersport Consistory.

Clark was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a charter member of the Cameron County Grange #2081 and served as the 1st Worthy Master.
Clark is survived by his only daughter Betsy, wife of Bill Musser of Willow Street, PA, and two granddaughters: Laura Musser and Elise, wife of John Lefever; a brother, Lyle husband of Ellen Lyon and a sister Twila Grimm.
Besides his parents and wife, a brother Leon and 2 infant brothers Alvin and Merle preceded him in death.

Funeral Services and Masonic Services will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from Clearfield United Methodist Church, 1238 Rawlinsville Rd., New Providence, PA 17560. Masonic Services will be at 11:00 followed immediately by the funeral service. Interment and military honors will follow in the Conestoga United Methodist Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service.

Clark E. Lyon and Dorothy Irene Rudolph were married on 24 August 1942 in Fort Jackson, SC. Dorothy Irene Rudolph was born on 27 March 1918. She died on 18 November 2004 at the age of 86 at Willow St. in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. She had Social Security Number 195-16-1498.
