Katherine Powell was born on 17 January 1931 in Grafton, WV. She died on 6 September 2006 at the age of 75 in Good Samaritan, Belington. Katherine Kittle, 75, a resident of Elkins and a patient in the Good Samaritan Center in Belington, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, in the center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1931, at Grafton, a daughter of the late William C. and Madeline Skillman Powell. In 1951, she was married to Delmar Kittle who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Brad Kittle and wife, Judy, of Elkins; a brother, John Robert “Bob” Powell of Richmond, Va.; and four nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Thomas Davis and William C. Powell Jr. and wife, Dorcas Barb Powell.
Mrs. Kittle was a graduate of Elkins High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elkins.
At the request of the deceased, her remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Flowers are to be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 315 Kerens Ave., Elkins, W.Va. 26241, in memory of Mrs. Kittle.
