Oliver Skillman was born on 18 March 1834 in Whitehouse Station, Hunterdon, NJ. He served in the military Private from 6 October 1862 to 12 February 1863 in the Union Army. Union Soldier. He enlisted October 6, 1862 at Macon, MO, and was mustered in Dec. 21, 1862. He was with the 2nd Reg't. Cav. Vols. He died of a disease on 12 February 1863 at the age of 28. Died in Union Army service.
