William Aubrey Skillman and Virginia Rozell were married. Virginia Rozell was born on 19 August 1916 in Cumberland, VA. She died on 29 October 1990 at the age of 74 in Williamsburg, (Indep. City), VA. WiLLIAMSBURG - Virginia Rozell "Rose" Skillman, 74 died Monday, October 29, at home. Mrs. Skillman was a native of Cumberland and had been a resident of Williamsburg since 1947. She was a registered nurse. Mrs. Skillman was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Churc, the Fellowship Bible Class and the Olive Casey Circle. She was also a past president of the Woman's Society of Christian Service and the United Methodist Women. For five years, she served as Chariman of Nursing Services for the local chapter of the American Red Cross and was a former board membe rof the Woman's Club. Survivors include her husband, Aubrey Skillman; two daughters, Hope Skinner and Nancy Walker, both of Williamsburg; two sisters, Beulah Lewis of Newport News and Viola Ross of Baltimore; two brothers, Earl Rozell and Billy Rozell, both of Richmond; and three grandsons. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Williamsburg United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bucktrout Funeral Home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Williamsburg Emergency Medical Services, 440 N. Boundary street, Williamsburg 23185. She was buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg, (Indep. City), VA. Virginia graduated at Univ. of Virginia School of Nursing in Virginia. She was a registered nurse. She was a former supervisor of Buxton (now Mary Immaculate) Hospital. She also served as asst. dir. of Williamsburg Community Hospital in the '60s.
