3991. Ruffin Barrow Walker was born on 19 December 1842 in Virginia. He was christened on 30 May 1858. He served in the military between 1861 and 1864 at Confederate Army. Enlisted at Camp Moore, LA 6/7/1861. Nov-Dec 1861 detailed as Nurse at Hospital. Taken prisoner at Rappahannock, VA 11/7/1863. Federal Rolls of Prisoners of War...admitted to U.S.A. General Hospital, Frederick, MD from Fort McHenry, MD, 9/28/1864, occupation clerk. (from Michael Howell, "Feliciana Confederates," p. 266) Ruffin died in May 1904 at the age of 61 in New Orleans, Orleans, LA.
