They then moved twenty miles west to Calhoun, LA for two years, where their son, Frank Elwin, was born. They then settled in Ruston, Lincoln parish, LA. In Ruston Frank Morgan developed a successful grocery and wholesale operation. He was married to Zula for 51 years until his death. Frank Elwin Morgan and Zula Willemena Penny were married on 28 February 1886 in Plaquemine, Iberville Par., LA. Zula Willemena Penny, daughter of Joseph Penny and Ann Carl, was born on 30 December 1866 in Baton Rouge, LA. Born on father's plantation "Safety Dale", near Zachary, LA. She died on 15 May 1964 at the age of 97 in Ruston, Lincoln Par., LA. She was buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Louisiana. She was named for the Queen of the Netherlands.
