The Descendancy of Thomas Skillman-Priv

Virtually all the non-African-American Skillmans in America are
descendants of Thomas Skillman who came to America in 1664 in the Nicholls
expedition to wrest New Amsterdam (now New York) from the Dutch in a
bloodless confrontation. He was given land on Long Island, married and
raised a family that included one son, Thomas II. This Thomas had 7 sons,
over 12,000 of their descendants which include 5655 Skillmans are
listed here.

Notes: Skillman genealogy data is presented as a series of 6001 Family Group Sheets starting with that of Thomas Skillman, our immigrant ancestor. At the top of each page, the name of the head of each family is a clickable link to his/her parents' group sheet. The name of each child is also a link to his/her family group sheet if there if further information on that child. The number following a person's name is the unique "Record Number" assigned to that person in my genealogy file. Please use this number in any correspondence to me for easy identification of the person(s) you are inquiring about. The record number of the family head can be found in the URL for his page, where it is preceded with "b" and followed with ".htm". For example, our ancestor Thomas' Record Number is 22 so that his page's URL is http://SkillmansofAmerica/tomstree/b22.htm.

ENJOY! (my Mother's parting word to me!)
